In 2019 Yom Haatzmaut, Israel's Independence Day, occurred a few days after rockets stopped falling on Israel's southern communities. Zechariah wrote an impassioned plea to his extended family explaining why he felt it was important to celebrate the holiday in Israel's south in order to strengthen residents of that area. Zechariah and Talia made sure to go south every Yom Haatzmaut thereafter and following Zechariah's death, his extended family has toured in the South on Yom Haatzmaut in his memory and in his honor three years in a row. We hope to do so in future years and would love to hear from you if you do the same.
